Piraeus | "Alipedou" Green & Smart

A 2500 sqm new building construction for a 30 smart two-floor apartment complex.

The project refers to a corner plot land of a total 497 sqm area, that may deliver a 2350 sqm building, under a footprint of 300 sqm area. The scope is the design & construction of a 30-apartment complex.

The industrial identity of the surrounding leads to a minimal, hard materiality, intro-verted concept of apartments through a green exteriors’ layout and smart spacing interiors....

The result refers to a 28-apartment building, leading the basic façade design to be created through cells for controlled views towards the sky and not the constructed environment. Planting has been added in certain places to create a “green neighbor-hood”. The existence of some two-floor height veranda openings enhances the result and make a very lively compound. Wooden look shading panels that may roll aside according to the user’s need, complete the façade in a delicate form giving an attract-ing final look. Verandas are fully compatible with the interiors giving the most suitable functionality & accessibility.

Common spaces through raw materials like concrete, Corten, metal, and wood, vol-umes and forms where character meets functionality and simplicity.

Spaces with perspective, materials from wall to wall, lighting effect to complete, not to interrupt, colors to flow over, not to be against, furniture to combine with the construc-tion, forms to distinguish not to break apart.
